The only thing that I enjoy of my commute from my house to school, and the other way around, is than in that moment I can disconnect and enjoy some amazing music.
Today was one of those days, and who came along the ride, none other than Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
I must confess that my devotion to Nick is a recent thing.
I have listen to some of his song, and I liked them.
I was listening, but not paying attention.
It was after a friend gave me some tickets to see his documentary of the recordings of Skeleton Tree, a harrowing tale of lost and redemption, in which you see Nick Cave deal with the death of his teenage son, and the grieving transforming into a painfully beautiful piece of art.
After this , I was finally paying attention, and fully diving into one of the most compelling artists I have listen to.
This reminded me to go out and do what I love, to give back to the collective energy a bit of my personal art, and be unapologetic about it.
Thank you Mr. Cave, for the music, for the compelling words, and must of all for sharing your genius.
I am off to read and scheme some new plans.
