Usually, at this time of the year, I begin planning the reading for next year.
Like I said in past posts the next year of reading is back to the one genre that got me hooked on reading, Epic Fantasy.
So, from now on (Y-10) will be known as “Total Epicness”.
To start the year with a bang I will read the illustrated edition of The Hobbit and the 50th-anniversary edition of Lord of Rings.
From there I planned to tackle three series: The Malazan Book of the Fallen (starting with book 2) by Steven Erikson, The Black Company by Glen Cook and the Dragonlance: The War of Souls. I know a huge task but I’m up for it.
And to top it off, and if completed, the crown jewel of the year, I will tackle almost the entire Legend of Drizzt series by R.A. Salvatore. I’ll start with book 4, the first three I have already read, and work myself up to number 23, which is the last they have published.
In all the list for (Y-10) is 49 books.
So these coming months I’ll focus on buying the missing books and find a comfortable spot to read because I’m in for a long ass task.
Happy Readings!!!

I came across your blog completely by chance a while ago but very stupidly didn’t bookmark the site and promptly lost it again. After an extensive Google search recently I was very glad to finally find it again and have been following your progress ever since. Congratulations on reaching the 200,000 page goal by the way – very impressive!
Anyway, I thought I would make contact because the idea of your challenge really struck a cord with me and got me wondering how long it would take me to reach the same goal of 1,000,000 pages. So, I’ve decided to join you in your challenge (I hope that’s okay) starting on September 2, 2017 and ending on my 50th birthday – in 14 years and 3 days time!
I will be following your progress and wish you all the best in your challenge!
Hello, Karen, I’m really glad that you found my blog and enjoy it.
Thank you for your feedback and yes I’m proud of finally reaching 200,000 pages, and of course, I’m thrilled that someone finds inspiration in this crazy goal of mine and I’m more than happy to have company on this journey.
Keep me post it of your progress and if you have a similar blog send me a link so I can follow it.
Best of luck to you and Happy Readings!!!
