This is it, the final stretch of the year, and how things progressed up until now, well, I’ll tell you, pretty good.

For the “end of the year reading marathon”, there’s still a little under 89 hours to go, I would have like to at least average 2 hours per day for the final 60 days, but 90 hours is no small chunk of change, plus whatever this few days left bring me clockwise.

In the 10,000-page December, I still have 5,506 pages to go, at this point my aim is to reach the minimal amount projected for December, 5,518 pages, and see if I can knock down some of the surplus pages from passed months.

Now to finish Star Wars: Dark Nest, and a few comic books that I picked up today, not Star Wars related, but will keep that to ourselves.

Let me just make a quick update, because there’s a ton of reading left, which honestly is well beyond reach at this point, but one page at a time, and I’ll focus on what’s to come in January.

So, I my “end of the year reading marathon” there’s still 91 hours to go, almost half the total time in the challenge, and on the 10,000-page December , there’s still 5,574 pages left, also, around half.

So let’s call this the half-ass marathons and call it a day.

In today’s reading, I’ll continue with Star Wars: Dark Nest Trilogy, and some graphic novels that I haven’t read from the Legends part of this universe.

Just a quick recap of my Sunday reading.

My total was 174 pages, with a total for the week of 1,131 pages, that’s 115 pages short from my weekly goal.

I start this last 4 days with 93 hours left, impossible to achieve, in my “end of the year reading marathon “, and 5,740 pages o my 10,000-page December, almost impossible.

But as my last post said, one step at a time, first the 178 pages, then a little bit extra, do that bit over and over, until I reach my coveted goal.

I’ll continue with my current book, Star Wars: Dark Nest Trilogy, on page 500 of 916, and with the infamous stories of galactic gangster Jabba the Hutt.

Sunday, Funday, and for us is officially leftover Christmas turkey sandwiches.

But for me personally it’s the day to try and make some headway with my reading, yesterday was a pretty decent day, with a total of 155 pages, and one pretty fun movie.

That gives a total of 96 hours left on the “end of the year reading marathon” , and 5,914 pages on the 10,000-page December.

Quite the chunk of change to go thru, but as i said on passed posts, I’m enjoying the journey a lot, so the goal at the end is only the bonus.

As always, I’m hatching out new plans for next year, and getting ready to take on the remaining 34,000 plus pages left on the goal for this year of reading.

To start off todays session, I’ll continue with the second part of the Star Wars: Dark Nest trilogy, The Unseen Queen, and whatever there’s laying around my digital bookshelf.

The final stretch of this 2021, and the first half of the year fourteen of my reading project.

Just a quick recap of how things are going, I have still 97 hours on the “end of the year reading marathon “, that originally set me on a path to read at least 3 hours a day for the last 60 days of the year. On the other challenge, 10,000-page December, there’s still 5,989 pages to go.

Really large numbers on both instances, but let’s see how much I can chip away, because, honestly, the journey has been more satisfying than the actual goal.

To start the afternoon’s reading session, I’m going old school Star Wars with Han Solo at Stars’ End, written by the legendary Archie Goodwin in collaboration with famous Filipino artist Alfredo Alcala, this is just the perfect way to close out this amazing Christmas day.

It’s the final week of the year, and you might ask, how are things are shaping up on your reading?

Let me tell you, not good at all.

I still have over 99 hours to go on my “end of the year reading marathon”, and 6,078 pages left on my 10,000-page December.

But today that doesn’t matter as much as spending time with my beautiful wife and kids, eating a delicious dinner, and enjoying some holiday cheer, which always involve movies, hot chocolate, and lots of treats.

Well tonight, I’m not off to read, hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Closing into the last week of the year, and there’s still a ton of time and pages to go thru.

On the “end of the year reading marathon ” there’s a little over 100 hours, and for the 10,000-page December, there’s still 6,190 pages left.

I’ll focus on a two-step day, first reach the 178 page quota, and focus in getting the total projected for December, which is 5,518 pages, this way at least I’ll keep hitting the minimal to get back on track.

Also, on the next post, I’ll start tracking the next milestone, 40,000 pages, due on January 17.

Yesterday’s reading was pretty decent, almost hit the 300-page mark, just 6 pages under, and now the clock of the “end of the year reading marathon ” has 104 hours left.

On the 10,000-page December front, I still have 6,374 pages left, this gargantuan number doesn’t get me discouraged, somehow I’ll find a way to do it.

There are two things that encourage me, the first, I’m pretty sure that the 30,000-page mark for the year has been passed, if so, there’s a numbers post coming up later on the day, and the second is that I started a new book, Star Wars: Dark Nest, and read almost 150 pages in less than 2 hours, always a good sign.

I’ll draw up some numbers to see my overall progress, and spend the rest of the day chipping away at the clock and pages.

Today, I’ll finally start my Star Wars days, to start off the festivities the first item is the Dark Nest trilogy, which takes place around 35 year after the Battle of Yavin.

I start off the new week with a lot of challenges ahead of me, including a turkey at the end of week. I’m determined to finish the two challenges even if this means some late nights.

There’s still 111 hours to go in “end of the year reading marathon “, and 6,871 pages on the 10,000-page December.

What’s install for today, mainly finish Servant of the Bones, currently on page 247 of 387, and trying to fatten up my page total with some comic books.

The other thing that I’m excited about for this week is a couple of surprises from some dormant sections of my blog.
