(Y-12) Can’t sleep…again

My insomnia has become present again, and in order to try to make the best, I have been trying to finish registering my 2019 Goodreads Reading Challenge books along side making some infographic information with Bookly.

Above you can see the yearly report, which constitutes for about half of 2019.

Now I’ll read for a while, and try to catch those elusive zzz’s.

(Y-12) Happy New Year

Happy New Year, from us in Lost in a Million Pages, and we sincerely hope that this upcoming year will kick ass in all your endeavors.

I had an amazing 2019, as always it was full of ups and downs, but in general terms, it was a pretty amazing, and full of growth.

In the case of this blog, I saw an amazing increase in my followers and visits to the site.

STATS 2019 WP

As you can see, we had 2,380 hits this year, which is a 124% growth from the previous year, and for 2020 I have amazing new plans, and hopefully, you will enjoy the crazy new ideas that I have in store.

One of the greatest surprises for me was the new countries from which they visit my blog, places like Indonesia or India, never in my wildest dreams would we have imagined this, and we are more than thrilled.

Now let us talk about some of my numbers.

The month of December was dedicated solely to celebrating the last movie of the Skywalker Saga, The Rise of Skywalker, with that in mind, I just read some stories of the original Expanded Universe of Star Wars, and some new stories that made up the new canon of this beloved universe.

I must say that it was a really productive month, I registered 4,341 pages, this over 2 books, 17 graphic novels, and 8 comics.

And with that my total for this, the twelve years of reading, to 8,292 pages.

My immediate plans are to finish two books from the series The New Jedi Order; Agents of Chaos, and the graphic novel Epic Collection: The Rise of the Sith.

With this, I’ll be alternating between some epic sagas like The Malazan Book of the Fallen and The Legend of Drizzt, with some of the stories of the Star Wars Expanded universe, mixed in with some Cormac Mccarthy, Alan Moore, and Brian Catling.

In lamest terms, I do not have a specific genre I will be focusing on this upcoming year.

My focus is on closing the gap between my reading schedule for (Y-12), from which I am behind 9 days, and achieving the first 500,000 pages goal, that has a deadline for March 20, 2023, and with my current calculations, I have a tentative achieving date of March 23, 2028, need to reduce those five years.

Β With a whole new year ahead of me and lots of plans buzzing around in my head, I foresee an amazing year full of new achievements, and new challenges to tackle.

For now, I am off to read.

(Y-12) Tick, Tock

With one day left on this year/month, it is evident that the gargantuan task I put on myself, to read 7,130 pages in December, will not be meant, but what great fun it has been.

As you can see above, I just passed 4,000 pages, and I can help but wonder how much more can I chip away at this challenge.

Let’s see.

I am off to read, but I’ll keep you post it.

Goodreads 2019 Reading Challenge, preliminary numbers

As the year comes to a close, I always like to see my stats and the beautiful infographic information that Goodreads generate.

I must confess that this year I didn’t use it quite as often as before, and only now I have taken my physical reading registry and passed it into Goodreads.

So you can see my numbers so far, I have digitalized up until August, and hopefully by tomorrow I will finish the rest.

For now in the link below you can see my reading log in Goodreads, still missing somethings.

(Y-12) Weekly report, December 22 to 29

Another great week of reading, I still have some days left on my winter break, I get back to my normal routine on January 13.

With that in mind, I am aiming to get to 11,000 registered pages before that date.

Right now I’ll work on two stories from my Star Wars Marathon, the New Jedi Order book, and the graphic novel The Rise of Sith.

Off to read.

(Y-12) Days filled with reading

This winter break has been an amazing one.

I have passed the 3,500 pages mark, and with 5 days to go, I know the 7,130 goal will not be, but I will be close to 5,000 pages, and it will be my best month recorded since I started keeping my records.

Right now the Star Wars marathon is still in effect, just finished the third book of The New Jedi Order, a series compiled of 19 books, and I will start the fourth book, Agents of Chaos I-Hero’s Trial, and the return of captain Solo, this after tragedy struck on the first book.

Also, I am reading the adventures of an Imperial operative during the rebellion era.

And just finished Darth Vader and the Ghost Prison, in which the Dark Lord of the Sith investigates a plot to eliminate Emperor Palpatine, and has to go looking for the legendary Ghost Prison, a facility for extremely dangerous criminals that the Jedi Order secretly created.

This month has been really productive, and if my estimation is accurate, I should pass my worst year of reading, which was a little over 8,000 pages, really soon.

For now, I am off to read.

(Y-12) Level up and achievement unlocked

I have reached Level 21 on the Bookly app, that means 190 hours of reading using the app.

The next level is on the other side of 20 hours if reading, let’s see if I can achieve it before the year’s end.

Also, I unlocked another achievement on the app, read 100 books.

I am about an hour away from finishing the third book of the magnificent series The New Jedi Order, in Dark Tide-Ruin, the Yuuzhan Vong keep on advancing with their plans if galactic conquest, and the fragile New Republic is not quite ready for the incursion of such a perilous foe.

Will the Jedi rise up to the occasion once again?

Will see, for I still have 18 books ahead of me.

For now, I am off to read, happy holidays.

(Y-12) Up for the challenge

My insomnia has kicked in, and as always, I will take advantage of it.

With exactly one week to go on this amazing 2019, I have to put the pedal to the metal and try to reach my self appointed crazy challenge for this December.

I never shy away from a challenge.

To keep things rolling, I’ll continue reading some more stories from a galaxy far, far away.

To begin this early morning, I’ll dive into the fourth volume of the amazing Star Wars series Doctor Aphra.

Let’s chase those pages.

I am off to read.
