(Y-12) Between X-Men and Bounty Hunters

I start my first day of reading, this with the sole purpose of reaching 30,000

Besides reading Dragons of Spring Dawning, I started reading a new series from a galaxy far, far away, Bounty Hunters.

To tell the true, I have been waiting to premiere, right now it has two issues, and I purchased the first one.

By the cover alone it looks pretty cool.

The other thing I am currently reading is some compilations of the X-men, I started with the Blue collection on volume 0, this has some issues from the mid 90s.

Let’s see how many pages I can pile up today, on this the first day of 25 of self isolation.

Stay safe, and healthy.

I am off to read.

(Y-11) starting the day on a high note

I started my reading day with a bang, and now I am close to finishing The Dark Phoenix Saga.

Tomorrow I’ll update my numbers, and hopefully there will be progress all across the table

And finally, I am giving another shot to the reading progress app Bookly, starting fresh with my list, so far it is working excellent, I think the problem was that it was not suitable for my tablet, will see.

Off to read.

(Y-11) tonight’s reading

For tonight’s repertoire, I’ll go back to the Dreaming, trek thru the badlands of Genabackis and try not to invoke the wrath of Phoenix.

But I’ll start in the Dream Lands.

Sweet Dreams.

(Y-11) last reading session of the week

As I enter the final stretch of this week reading my mind us focused on flexing and getting ready my reading muscles for the July readathon of 24in48.

It is an amazing experience, and hopefully this time around I will finish the 24 hours.

I encourage you to sign up in their official website and join in the fun.

So, to finish off this week, I’ll try to make some headway on The Dark Phoenix Saga.

I’ll update my numbers tomorrow for this week of reading, my total for this year, and a new entry of old school Monday.

Now off to reading, maybe I’ll throw in some time to start a new jigsaw puzzle a got for father’s day, because I have already finished with the Star Wars one I got for my birthday.

I’ll see how this plays out.

(Y-11) the weekend is here.

To say that I have fallen behind my reading is will be an understatement.

I have like 600 total pages, and more than 17 hours left on the clock.

The good news is that I have the whole weekend ahead of me.

And with some incentives to push along, in the form of chocolate and puzzles, I have great hope that I’ll get pass my goal.

I’ll read some of the Dark Phoenix Saga and get started with my new puzzle.

Off to read.

(Y-11) waking up

To start off the morning there is nothing better than some black coffee and a bit of reading.

I started with the Spanish reprint of one the seminal story arc in the X-men mythology, The Dark Phoenix Saga.

Chris Claremont just elevated this group of beloved characters to amazing new heights.

Today feels like a great for my reading.

(Y-11) 12 years to go

Today it officially marks the 12 years left notification until the deadline to achieve 1,000,000 pages.

This is because, today, I turn 38 years old.

And since the whole idea of this crazy project is to read that gargantuan amount before my 50th birthday, well there you go, the clock strike again, and I have only 12 years ahead.

Today I received some more awesome material to keep on piling up those numbers.

Three pretty cool new graphic novels

And to put the cherry on the cake, some awesome new kicks, one of my favorite things, besides books and coffee of course.

Brings me back to the days when I watch his airness dominate the court.

Now I’ll enjoy the last few hours of the day and read some more.

(Y-11) more old school reading

Tonight’s reading will be some good old school X-Men.

And continue with the third issue of the amazing series by Jeff Lemire, Gideon Falls.

In the numbers department, I haven’t tally all of th single issues and graphic novels I read last week, but I am confident that the 25,000-page mark will be exceed.

But just in case, I’ll try to close out the night reading.

(Y-11) Late night old school reading.

To close out this busy day I’ll take on the really early days of the Uncanny X-Men, in charge of one of the most important creative teams in comic book history, written by Stan “The Man” Lee and illustrated by Jack “The King” Kirby.

Simply amazing.
