(Y-12) the state of things

This is the fifth day of my month-long Star Wars marathon, and things are moving along quite nicely.

To start off, I have been rocking some great Star Wars gear, and hopefully will keep on doing it until I go and watch the last chapter of one of my favorite movies, The Rise of Skywalker.

Also, I have read volumes 6 and 7 of the on-going Star Wars series, I liked volume 7 a lot, it is pretty cool how they linked our favorite classic rebels with the one seen on Rogue One, and of this on the decimated planet Jedha.

And to top off this Star Wars extravaganza, I have finished the comic book series leading up to The Rise of Skywalker, Allegiance, a four-part miniseries, that depicts our friends of the Resistance in desperate need of a new fleet and weapons, I would not go any further than that, you should check it out.

With all this reading, I have just passed the 700 page mark, a good start to what seems to be an amazing winter break.

I am off to read.

(Y-12) Here we go…for real this time

I got back to my house, and found the next two novels in the New Jedi series waiting for me in my shelf.

I’ll go and pick-up the rest along the way.

Let the festivities begin, again, for real this time.

I’ll better get to read.

(Y-12) A slight change of plans

As I started reading The Dark Nest Trilogy, I came to release that there is a lot of references to a series known as The New Jedi Order, from which I read the first book of twenty one stories, this between books and novellas.

So I have decided to shift my focus to that series, the next two books are waiting for me in my shelf, before continuing with the Dark Nest Trilogy.

I can foresee that this Star Wars month is about to overflow

I am off to read.

(Y-12) Moving safely thru hyperspace

My first day of the Star Wars marathon is going amazing, I started off the at full speed and putting on the inaugural t-shirt of this, my new tradition for the holidays, winter at a galaxy far, far away.

After that, and finishing Paul S. Kemp’s The Godborn, I jumped right into the Dark Nest Trilogy.

Followed by the fifth volume , written by the amazing Jason Aaron, of the Star Wars on-going series.

And to close out the day, the first two issues of the comic book series, The Journey to Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker- Allegiance

A really productive and fun filled day.

Off to read.

(Y-12) Report for the month of November and other plans

Well November has come and gone, and as you can see above, it was a fairly good month, that is going to change for December.

This month I plan to do two things, hibernate and read, I have been feeding my TBR pile, and it has become nice and plump.

So, the game plan is to finish reading Paul S. Kemp’s The Godborn, the second book of the Forgotten Realms saga The Sundering, and the first volume of the classic manga Lone Wolf and cub, preferably by tonight.

This is to jump right into my month-long Star Wars reading session.

This is in celebration of the release of the last movie of the Skywalker saga, Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, which I have already bought tickets to.

To start off my journey thru a Galaxy far, far away, I will read a trilogy by Troy Denning, The Dark Nest, part now of the Legends of Star Wars, meaning that is not part of the canon.

Then, the next volumes of the current Marvel series, which include the On-going Star Wars series, Doctor Aphra, Poe Dameron, among others.

And to spice things up, my goal is to double my total for this month of reading, which is 3,545 pages.

That means 7,090 pages is what I am aiming for.

And on that note, I am off to read in my cozy cave.
